Over the last 12 months the demand for our Melbourne made upholstered bedheads and beds has increased also. Our clients are wanting their bedrooms to be warm and inviting and we are including an upholstered bed or bedhead in velvet or textured linen blend to their bedroom scheme. Having a custom made bedhead or bed you can choose the look that suits your personality.
FABRICS
Select a fabric in the colour and texture of your choice. A classic but bold black and white stripe would make a dramatic feature to your bedroom or a natural linen blend would be a subtle and elegant addition to your room. At Empire Red Interiors we only recommend investing in a good quality upholstery fabrics that you not only love, but will be durable. Our most popular fabrics range from $60 per metre for a synthetic chenille like fabric up to $170 per metre for an imported Italian linen or cut velvet.
COLOURS
Our most popular colour is either a natural linen or a textured neutral. This way our clients can be more flexible with their linen choice. Soft greys and charcoals are starting to catch-on to in the last 6 months in particular cotton velvets and chenilles in blue based charcoals. Mid-blues and navy blue are a classic favourite for boys bedroom schemes and girls love either raspberry or pink.
DESIGNS
Our most popular shapes are simple classic square boxed or soft curved design. However, our demand for customised, French inspired shapes and sweeping curves has been increasing. We have a range of six shapes in our bedhead range, but we can design an individual shape to suit your personality. We have a few upholstered beds on our website, but our Melbourne suppliers can custom make a design to suit your personality.
DETAILS
Additions like covered buttons, metal studded, contrast piping and Tufting (simple stitch pulled in) are some fun ways to add interest to you bed head or upholstered bed.
